Transition from Lessons to Squads

Children are eligible for UWA Uniswim Squad programs once they have been assessed on 4 x 25 metres of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke with the correct technique. They must also demonstrate a freestyle tumble turn.

Please refer to squad programs or contact the Uniswim Office (6488 2277) for more information.

Assessments

All children who are new to the program, or who haven't swum for some time will need to book a swimming assessment to determine their levels in the UWA Uniswim program. This will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes for each child.

Assessments can be organised at the Uniswim office (6488 2277) and are free of charge.

Teaching Staff

All UWA Uniswim staff hold a current Austswim Licence, Bronze Medallion or Surf Lifesaving certification. They follow the same teaching principles and methods.

UWA Uniswim tries to minimise changes where possible. However, changes to teaching staff are sometimes unavoidable due to a child's progress, teacher sickness, or changes to teachers' timetables/exams/practicums.
