Uniswim provides a first class start to your child's long term enjoyment of swimming.
UWA Uniswim offers learn to swim lessons for children of all swimming levels. Initially, emphasis is placed on developing confidence in the water but as your child progresses they will learn freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and dive starts.
Lessons are 30 minutes in length and are held during the school terms.
Children must be four years of age or older.
Please note that there is NO swimming on public holidays.

Once children have mastered freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, and can comfortably swim 25 metres of each stroke with correct technique, they are eligible for UWA Uniswim's Squad Program.
Children begin in the "Tadpole" squad - an extension of the lessons that they attend once a week for 45 minutes. As technique, speed and endurance improve, the children progress through the subsequent squad levels of sub-junior, junior, intermediate, teenage fitness, and national development squads.
The squad program is extensive, with training offered for children of all ages and abilities.
Assessments are provided for all children who are new to the program, or for those who haven't swum for some time. Assessments can be organised at the office, and are free of charge.
Call (+61 8) 6488 2277 to arrange an assessment.
All UWA Uniswim teachers hold a current Austswim and bronze medallion/resuscitation certificates. They follow the same teaching principles and methods, and wherever possible, changes are kept to a minimum.
Changes to teaching staff are sometimes unavoidable due to a child's progress, teacher sickness, or changes to teachers' timetables/exams.
During the winter months, some classes may need to be combined due to the lower number of enrolled swimmers.
